Greetings everyone. I hope your summer is going good and to those of
you now in winter I hope it is not too harsh.

As some of you know, my website has been in transition and the
newsletter has not been left out.

This article was from my February and March, 2002 issues but I
think it has great merit still, now these days...

Increasing your spiritual power.
Part One:

Increasing your spiritual power is simple to do and can be reduced
down to three simple words,"Know thy self." When we get to truly
know ourself, we then are able to conduct ourself and our lives in a
more appropriate way.

We use our energy for many things, some of which include sleeping,
eating and getting ourself through our day. When we begin to
recognize what we are doing and how we do it, we are half way to
increasing our spiritual power. The next step is to conduct ourselves
in a new way that is in more of an alignment with how our sprit would
conduct itself in our circumstances. The first example that comes
to me of how people waste their spiritual power is by "Gossiping."
The act of gossiping uses our energy to form the thoughts that will
be said (and the energy also creates our thought forms that go along
with our thoughts, but this is another different topic.)

Energy is then used up to actually say the words and express the
emotions that go along with the words. Things may be said that you
know are not true and this registers in the subconscious mind. All this
contributes to clouding up our aura and disconnects us further from our
spirit. ("Aura" is another topic I will talk about in the future.) So to
increase our spiritual power, be cautious of what you say, think and do
and you may see your spiritual power increasing beyond what you can
imagine.

Part Two:

One of the secrets to increasing your spiritual power is "to clean."
That is right - clean. I will explain.

Every object that exists is a form of energy. Every object also has an
energy field. In the energy field reality there is yet more different kinds of energies. With each thought we think and feel, we experience we are
generating more types of energy that will leave a residual energy in our environment. Here are a couple examples that may help you understand.
Imagine wearing the same clothes for two weeks without washing them.
They will not only smell but will be saturated with old energy. You may
even be naturally trying to avoid them without noticing. They will sense
to be full, dingy, drab and not pleasant. Another example is, when a room
has the window blinds closed for a long time. The room will feel heavy,
stuffy and "dark."

When we clean we are also mirroring this activity on other levels of our
being. When we clean, we get the energy moving and flowing. Cleaning
up clutter opens up our spaces so energy can move and not get stale.

Putting things away and simplifying is a good first step, getting rid of
excess is even better. Think of closets, drawers and cupboards
metaphorically as symbolic of your subconscious mind. If you shuffle
all your stuff into these locations the stuff will still influence you.
Visually it is put away. Physically it is in a different location but it is
still influencing your energy, at a subconscious level. I am finding that
people who have a lot of stuff around tend to have a lesson to learn
about how to process and manage things. You take the items you have
and instead of stuffing it all away out of sight, put a price on it. Have
a garage sale and treat yourself to a nice vacation.

Once you do get to the bottom of the piles, a good rule is the one to one.
The one to one rule is, when you bring into the house one item, you
remove one item out of the house. For example, when you bring home
one magazine, send one magazine to the recycle bin. Another approach
is the one to two system. Bring one item in and send out two items.
Be creative, challenge yourself. What other systems can you invent to
organize your environment that will simplify your life, save time and
increase your spiritual power.
